I am. I won’t lie about it. This is my son in my skirt.
How fun. It’s like a little tent or a hiding spot. Someone said he looked like a flower. How sweet.
Isn’t it cute when little kids can’t get out from under a large piece of fabric?
Oh there he is. Hi!
That skirt is looking a bit like a head covering. You done with it yet? Where are you going?
Eh-hem. What’s this? Um, no. You are not dressing in a flowery skirt and playing with princess castles. I mean if you were just doing one of those things I could overlook it but I’m starting to twitch and shake now. Hey Donut, Donut. Don’t you have a “gun” somewhere around here?
Oh there you go. That’s my boy. Is that a semi-automatic weapon? I don’t think those are legal.
Bring it on Boy.
Someone get this kid a camo t-shirt.

HAHAHAHA!!!!!
That is TOO funny! My skirt is my favorite littlest littles hiding spot. If they are playing chase or whatnot that is right where he runs.
As for girly things… ugh. My Abe is as addicted to lip gloss as his two older sisters… I say “Abe, what are you? A boy or a girl?”
“BOY” he says with a grunt
“Okay, then what is Moma?” I ask
“GIRL” he grins
“Good… who wears lipstick?” I ask again
“Moma!” he says
And then he proceeds to put some more lip gloss on… ugh!
It is just part of it.. I am not too terribly worried… But some camo wouldn’t hurt either! HAHAHA
Love,
Chas

Someone get this kid any kind of t-shirt. HA! I love the last couple pictures.
My, um, Isaac likes to wear the girls’ floppy dress-up hats and their gawdy rings. When he shows off his fashions, I give an awkward laugh and say with a forced smile: You look great! We’re gonna keep that look for private viewing only, ok? Don’t let me catch you wearing that ring outside the house, alrighty?

Ah, but girl’s stuff is so pretty! And sparkly! My very-much-a-boy boy loves that blingy stuff. But he also loves his baseballs, footballs, and paintball guns. So I don’t worry about his orientation or gender role. I just think he’ll be able to pick out lovely clothies and jewelry for his wife someday.
He’s the youngest of 3, with 2 older sisters, so he’s been “dressed up” in the most outlandish things by them since he was a baby.
Love your blog, BTW. It’s fun, honest, interesting and eclectic, just like you guys!

Katie that was both super cute and hilarious with your captions! Thanks for the smile today! =)

That’s too funny. Typical boy using his imagination to created something to have fun with. I have to watch my fabric at my house. Mine want to use it to built a fort and use it for the roof. LOL
My boys are also curious about all that girl stuff too. It goes both ways. My 4ydd wanted to put on her brothers spiderman snow hat because her brother made it look so cool to have it. Btw, she’s outside not wearing it in the snow, she’s wearing her PINK snowsuit, making snowpeople.
Ever make a tent or Indian teepee using heavy duty fabric. I’ve googled that somewhere.
Later, I’m going sewing.

But he’s so … boyish looking. Even in a skirt, it’s unmistakable. My little guy, however, has loooong dark eyelashes, big blue eyes, curyl blonde hair. When he put on his sister’s bonnet, he really did look pretty. It was sad.

Now, I know who Jonah looks like!! After seeing all the pictures of Katie as a kid! He looks like his mom!!
On Jeff’s blog http://www.ohmydad.com/ in the picture of Katie at four years old, put up the photo of Jonah with the skirt as a headcovering, and that photo of Katie at four… and you can see much the same little face there! ,( if you have two screens on your computer it is easier to see).
My mother always told me that boys who look like their moms grow up to be very handsome!!

You’re just asking for angry comments with a blog title like that! I know what you mean, though. My four year old loves to wear my mom’s heels because of the sound they make on her kitchen floor. My dad about has a heart attack every time. But his favorite game is cops/robbers or good guys vs. bad guys. He’s always at war with some bad guy or taking someone to jail. He gravitates to all things boy so I think we’re in the clear. :)

Oh, that kid is too cute! My son never liked to hide in skirts. Which is good, because everywhere you went, with his curly hair, people would always say “oh, your girls are so cute!”. Argh.

Not to open a can of worms… but I don’t believe people are born gay anyway, so you probably have nothing to worry about! : )

What a sweetie!!!!!!! Your kids are too darn cute! If it helps, Lily hates girl toys. She would rather play with cars, and guns…

Interesting!
I wonder though, as you seem okay with answering questions in your blog… what would you do if you child turned out gay. Any of your children, or you ended up with a transgendered child. (I am in no way implying that because your son played with a skirt he’s a homosexual. I am merely asking if you daughter or son came to you and said “Mummy, I’m gay” or “Mummy, I want to be a boy/girl” what would you do? how would you handle such a siutation?)
